In her children's book *Health, Nature, and Adventures with Ham-O-ster(n) Bunnies*, the general practitioner has made it her mission to help children understand their bodies, common health issues, and the process of getting well. To ensure that children aged approximately 5 to 9 enjoy the experience, she uses stories about nature and animals.

Children discover their bodies and learn many new things along the way, such as sudden rashes, teething, pus, fever, pain, and blood. The book explains why these things happen and how the body defends itself and then recovers. The health chapters are woven into a story of friendship featuring shared adventures in nature and with animals, including hamsters and Easter bunnies. This makes learning so much more fun!

The book is divided into eight adventure stories, each with a corresponding health chapter. For easier navigation, the medical chapters are printed on a full-color spread.

"Rudi and Mucky are getting to know nature and lots of animals. During their adventures, they experience injuries and little aches and pains.
The two children wonder what these are. Learn with Mucky and Rudi how the body heals itself. Smart animals are happy to offer advice.
Plus, the book features original illustrations and photos of the general practitioner's own pets!"

The author is a specialist in general medicine with a subspecialty in emergency medicine. Her medical career has taken her into many areas of patient care: from the surgical emergency room and outpatient clinic to the internal medicine ward, including the intensive care unit, and on to general practice.
Regarding histamine intolerance--a condition that is not uncommon but often undiagnosed--the doctor has written the medical reference book and guide "Histamine Intolerance: No Findings and No Comma--Not Just a Food Intolerance," in which she addresses the symptoms, causes, diagnosis, treatment, and dietary considerations in detail and with a practical focus.
In the cookbook and baking book "66 Vegetarian and Vegan Recipes for Cooking and Baking with Histamine Intolerance--For 3 Levels of Intolerance," Silke Haas focuses on the practical implementation of dietary adjustments and regaining the joy of eating with histamine intolerance through versatile recipes and valuable tips.
In the children's book presented here, the author then devoted herself to playfully introducing children to their bodies, health, and the process of getting well through stories about nature and animals.
In all three books, it is clear that the author places great importance on presenting medical knowledge in an accessible way.
