
Changxing, China, April 13, 2026 – Horse Powertrain, a global leader in innovative and low-emission powertrain systems, celebrated a landmark three millionth transmission produced at its Changxing plant in China. The milestone transmission produced at Changxing was a HORSE 7DCT, a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission intended for combustion powertrains.
Horse Powertrain CEO Matias Giannini joined Deputy COO Yang Kui and other senior executives to celebrate the milestone, alongside plant employees and guests. During the ceremony, teams and individuals were presented with “Honor Acceleration” awards in recognition of their high quality work in lean manufacturing.
In his speech, Matias Giannini praised the Changxing plant as a benchmark facility within the group, highlighting its global competitiveness in production volume, cost efficiency, and product quality. He emphasized that the three million milestone marks an important moment for the plant, as Horse Powertrain intends to increase production of next-generation hybrid powertrain solutions at Changxing.
In the following speech, Yang Kui also praised the plant and its team. He explained that the plant will continue to accelerate development of its hybrid production lines, deepen its roots in Changxing, and is set to play a major role in advancing global powertrain technology.
During the celebrations, representatives from the Changxing plant provided an overview of the production line’s strengths in digitalized manufacturing processes and lean management. The representatives demonstrated the Changxing plant’s smart factory capabilities, with humanoid robots used to complete precision material-handling operations in the assembly area. Technical specialists also presented the collaborative applications of robotic dogs in production scenarios.
Horse Powertrain has established a global footprint of five R&D centers and eighteen manufacturing facilities, with its powertrain products deployed in 130 countries worldwide. Within this network, the Changxing plant serves as one of the company’s three global transmission manufacturing centers, guaranteeing responsiveness to market demands while also maintaining quality and efficiency through its advanced digital manufacturing capabilities.
