After more than two decades in television, humanitarian work and entrepreneurship, the Argentine-Italian producer reflects on a career that bridges media, philanthropy and business-while using documentary storytelling to shed light on some of the most pressing social issues across the Americas.

As she approaches her 50th birthday in 2026, Argentine- Italian producer, entrepreneur and humanitarian Natalia Denegri reflects on a career that has connected media, philanthropy and business across the United States and Latin America. Over more than two decades in television and audiovisual production, Denegri has built a profile that combines investigative storytelling with humanitarian advocacy and entrepreneurial leadership.

Denegri has received 28 Suncoast Emmy Awards from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences for documentaries and television productions focused on

social impact, resilience and humanitarian work. Many of these productions filmed across the Americas and Europe have also been recognized at international film festivals, with several projects reaching global audiences through platforms such as Amazon Prime Video.

For Denegri, storytelling has never been limited to entertainment. Her productions frequently explore social issues and humanitarian crises, bringing attention to communities whose stories rarely reach international audiences.

"Storytelling carries a responsibility," Denegri says. "When you have a platform, you have the opportunity to shed light on realities that many people prefer not to see."

A Decade of Corazones Guerreros

One of the clearest expressions of that approach is Corazones Guerreros, the multi-awarded humanitarian television program Denegri created and hosts, which celebrates ten years on air in 2026.

Over the past decade, the program has documented humanitarian missions across multiple countries, highlighting the stories of children, families and communities confronting health, social or economic hardship. Combining journalism with direct philanthropic engagement, Corazones Guerreros has become a platform that connects storytelling with humanitarian action.

The anniversary season will also honor the legacy of Alan Hassenfeld, the American businessman, philanthropist and former CEO of Hasbro Toys who played an important role in many of the program's humanitarian initiatives before his passing in July 2025. Denegri worked closely with Hassenfeld for nearly a decade, having served as a spokesperson for the Hassenfeld Family Foundation in Latin America for 8 years and collaborating on projects focused on children's well-being and community development.

Over the years, their professional collaboration grew into a deep friendship built on shared values and a commitment to social causes. Hassenfeld also became closely connected to the evolution of Corazones Guerreros, encouraging Denegri to continue using media as a vehicle for humanitarian awareness.

"Alan often told me that Corazones Guerreros should never stop," Denegri recalls. "He believed the program carried a simple but powerful message: bringing light where there is darkness and a smile where there are tears."

Denegri says that honoring Hassenfeld's vision will remain central to her work moving forward. "Protecting Alan's legacy of love will be one of the missions of my life."

Documenting the Human Cost of Venezuela's Dictatorship

Another defining aspect of Denegri's work has been her sustained focus on the humanitarian realities of Venezuela, a country that has endured years of dictatorship, political turmoil and economic collapse.

Through a series of investigative and socially driven documentaries, Denegri has sought to portray the crisis not only through political analysis but through the experiences of ordinary citizens. Among the most notable productions are Doble Exilio II, Que el Mundo Se Entere, RCTV: 10 Años Después and the Emmy- winning documentary trilogy Venezuela: The Truth.

The trilogy includes interviews with prominent political figures, journalists and analysts who have shaped the international understanding of the Venezuelan crisis, including opposition leader María Corina Machado widely seen by many Venezuelans as a leading voice in the country's democratic movement.

Many of these productions were developed alongside prominent Venezuelan journalists and media figures, including Nelson Bustamante, one of Venezuela's most recognized journalists and a longtime producer of Corazones Guerreros, as well as investigative journalist Luis Olavarrieta, filmmaker Alain Maiki and actor- producer Henry Zakka.

Through these productions and humanitarian missions, Denegri helped bring international visibility to the humanitarian consequences of the Venezuelan crisis, amplifying the work of grassroots organizations and initiatives assisting vulnerable communities both inside Venezuela and among Venezuelan families who relocated to Florida.

"What happened in Venezuela is not just a political story it's a human one," Denegri says. "Behind every statistic there are families, doctors, teachers and children trying to survive."

Business Leadership: The Expansion of Baires Grill

Alongside her media career, Denegri has developed a strong entrepreneurial profile. She is a partner in Baires Grill, one of the most successful Argentine restaurant groups in the United States, which continues to expand its footprint across Florida and New York.

Her role in the company reflects a key dimension of her professional trajectory building and scaling businesses alongside her work in media and philanthropy. The brand has established itself in the competitive hospitality industry, attracting both local diners and international audiences while elevating Argentine cuisine within the U.S. dining landscape.

Following its continued growth, the group is also exploring international expansion opportunities, including potential entry into Argentina and Brazil.

In addition to her business leadership, Denegri was invited to participate in a White House Roundtable as part of a select group of leading entrepreneurs reflecting her growing influence in business and leadership.

"Hospitality is about creating experiences people want to return to," Denegri says. "In business, as in media, long-term success depends on consistency, vision and leadership."

Recognition and Public Leadership

Denegri's humanitarian and media work has also been recognized at the national level in the United States.

Among these distinctions is the President's Volunteer Service Award, one of the country's most respected honors for civic engagement and volunteerism, granted in recognition of her philanthropic initiatives and humanitarian work through Corazones Guerreros. She has also received official proclamations and civic recognitions from the City of Miami and the City of Doral, in Florida, including symbolic distinctions such as the Keys to the City, acknowledging her cultural and philanthropic contributions to the community.

Her humanitarian efforts were also acknowledged by members of the United States Congress, which presented her with a Congressional recognition diploma highlighting her humanitarian assistance during the crisis caused by Hurricane María in Puerto Rico.

Her work as a journalist, entrepreneur and humanitarian has also been recognized at numerous philanthropic events and national galas across the United States.

Many of these recognitions have taken place at Mar-a- Lago, the historic Palm Beach club and residence of President Donald Trump, where her humanitarian and media initiatives have been highlighted in several philanthropic gatherings.

Her public leadership was also visible during major national events such as the Hispanic Gala and the 1776 Gala, held in Washington, D.C. as part of the official celebrations surrounding President Trump's second presidential inauguration. During those events, Denegri served among the organizers and presented awards on stage, including two recognitions granted to Argentine President Javier Milei, whom she has publicly praised for the economic and political changes he is promoting in Argentina.

Internationally, her work has also received recognition through awards such as the Callas Tribute Prize, presented by the Consulate of Italy, as well as honors including the Orion Star Award from Dubai and Argentina's prestigious Martín Fierro Awards.

Turning Stories Into Global Impact

As Denegri turns 50, her career reflects how storytelling, humanitarian work and entrepreneurship can converge to create lasting global impact. Through documentaries, humanitarian initiatives and business ventures, she continues to use media not only to inform audiences but to give visibility to communities whose voices might otherwise remain unheard.
