Volvo XC90 named a winner in 2026 Parents Best Family Car Awards

The Volvo XC90 has been named a winner in the annual 2026 Parents Best Family Car Awards, taking home the honors in two categories: Best Luxury Midsize 3-Row SUV and Best Luxury Hybrid / Plug-In Hybrid.

This marks the third consecutive year that Parents has included the XC90 as one of their Best Family Cars, with the vehicle most recently winning Best Plug-In Hybrid (2025) and Best Hybrid for Families (2024). The continued recognition further cements the XC90 as a premier luxury SUV for families.

Designed to protect what matters most, the XC90 surrounds families with safety features that have defined Volvo for generations. Parents can choose the option of 6-seats for easy access to the third row or 7-seats with an available integrated booster seat in the middle row. Drivers are supported by a comprehensive suite of advanced safety technologies, including rear collision warning, cross traffic alert, and a range of standard driver assistance features designed to help prevent accidents before they ever happen.

The XC90 is a proud embodiment of Volvo Cars’ Swedish heritage, blending human-centric safety with timeless Scandinavian design. Interior cues inspired by the traditional Scandinavian living room, paired with a mix of premium materials, create a serene and confidence-inspiring cabin experience. Seamlessly integrated modern technology — including standard Google built-in, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto — keeps families connected, comfortable, and secure on every journey.

The 2026 XC90 starts at $62,445 MSRP and XC90 Plug-In Hybrid starts at $77,595 MSRP and both are available in both 6-seat and 7-seat configurations. The XC90 Plug-In Hybrid offers up to 32 miles of all-electric range and a combined range of up to 532 miles. Drivers are covered for whatever they need, whether it be for daily commutes or extended family road trips.
