Leipzig, 28.11.2025 - Conveying Engineering & Consulting GmbH (CEC) is strengthening its cooperation with the Berufsf?rderungswerk (BFW Leipzig) and sending out a clear signal of social responsibility and sustainable recruitment of skilled workers. By providing internships - particularly in the field of technical product design (TPD) - the company has been helping people in vocational rehabilitation to develop new prospects and successfully re-enter the job market for several years.

The initial contact for the collaboration came about through a private exchange between a CEC authorized signatory and a BFW graduate. The latter had successfully completed his retraining as a technical product designer specializing in machine and plant design and was looking for career prospects in the region. CEC GmbH recognized the opportunity to fill a new position in the field of 3D planning - and thus laid the foundation for a cooperation that has grown to this day.

High motivation and sound training

The experience with rehabilitants from BFW Leipzig has been consistently positive, emphasizes Gisela Heinz, Partner and Managing Director of CEC GmbH. The technical product design graduates in particular impressed with their high-quality training and valuable previous technical experience. The interns also showed great interest, a high level of willingness to learn and motivation - factors that significantly facilitated the transfer of knowledge within the company.

During their internship, the participants gain an in-depth insight into project management, 2D and 3D planning and the professional use of modern software tools. This enables them to combine their theoretical knowledge with practical experience in a targeted manner.

Structured support and clear orientation

The framework curriculum provided by BFW is particularly helpful for CEC GmbH, as it enables the company learning phase to be structured. The personal exchange with the BFW training managers during on-site visits also contributes to a successful internship.

Although no direct employment has yet resulted from an internship in the company, CEC GmbH currently employs two former BFW graduates who have completed their practical phase in other companies. This underlines the long-term effectiveness of the collaboration.

Team spirit and social responsibility as success factors

The integration of rehabilitants is supported with great openness in the teams at CEC GmbH. The employees not only appreciate the additional support in their day-to-day work, but also the enriching impulses that new colleagues bring to the working atmosphere.

Social responsibility plays a central role for the company. "We feel an obligation to society and the economy to make it easier for people to enter working life," explains Gisela Heinz. At the same time, this commitment is an important building block for attracting and retaining skilled workers in the long term.

Appeal to other companies: "Have the courage!"

The CEC management expressly encourages companies that are thinking about giving retrainees from vocational rehabilitation a chance to talk to BFW Leipzig. An initial meeting with those responsible and getting to know the applicants personally are decisive steps - and often a good human relationship is enough to get off to a successful start together.
